Dental hygiene tips for healthy teeth & gums

Can I change my Invisalign every 5 days?

Invisalign should not be changed every 5 days because your teeth will not be able to shift properly during that period. According to the recommendations, Invisalign trays should be changed every two weeks, and it is not standard procedure to change them every seven days.

You must wear Invisalign for 20 hours every day for it to be beneficial. The trays should only be removed for dining and cleaning, and you’ll need to switch to a new tray every 1–2 weeks. Each set of aligners will aid in moving teeth into their proper positions

What Happens if you replace your Invisalign too soon?

If you skip an aligner or move on to a new aligner too soon, you risk “adaptation faults” at the aligner-tooth interaction. This simply implies that the aligner’s fit will be impaired, even if the aligner itself feels the same on the teeth.

Is Invisalign’s first tray the worst?

The great news is that once you become adjusted to the aligners moving your teeth, the discomfort you may experience during the first week usually fades. When you obtain a new set of aligners during treatment, you’re likely to experience some discomfort, although the first week is usually the toughest.

Do the Invisalign trays become tighter with time?

When you first put in a new set of aligners, you may notice that they feel snug or a little too tight, and it may be tough to get them into and out of your mouth. Please note that this is normal and there is no need to be concerned.

Is it possible for me to change my aligners slightly earlier?

After 7-10 days, some people discover that their trays are regularly loose. It’s acceptable to replace them sooner in some instances. However, you should only do so with your dentist or orthodontist’s permission and supervision. If you seek more guidance, make an appointment with your Orthodontist.
